Yes — and in many places it's legally required. Some states and countries have two-party (or all-party) consent laws, which means everyone in a conversation must agree to being recorded. It's your responsibility to disclose that you're recording before the call starts. Transcripted doesn't handle consent for you — that part is on you.

After each meeting, voice embeddings are stored locally in a SQLite database on your Mac. Over time, it gets better at recognizing the same people across meetings.
