On first launch

  1. Model setup: Let the speech-recognition engine finish preparing. Transcription works offline once the selected model is ready.
  2. Permissions: Microphone hears your voice; System Audio Recording Only hears the other side of calls; Accessibility enables shortcuts and pasting text. Calendar access is optional for meeting reminders.
  3. Writing is optional. Autocomplete needs Screen Recording access and a separate local model download.

Move the app

Drag Transcripted into your Applications folder.

Launch Transcripted

Open Transcripted from Applications.

Record your first note

Open Transcripted, click Record, and say a few sentences. When you stop, your words appear as a text note you can open, search, or share — no account needed.
