On first launch

  1. One-time setup: Transcripted downloads its speech-recognition engine (a few minutes on Wi-Fi). After that it works fully offline.
  2. Two permissions: allow Microphone (so it can hear you) and Screen & System Audio Recording (so it can hear the other side of calls).

Open the DMG

Open Transcripted.dmg from your Downloads folder.

Move the app

Drag Transcripted into your Applications folder.

Launch Transcripted

Open Transcripted from Applications.

Record your first note

Open Transcripted, click Record, and say a few sentences. When you stop, your words appear as a text note you can open, search, or share — no account needed.
